TANZANITE

RARER...THAN THE RAREST.

Poised between lush blue, vibrant violet, and rich purple, Tanzanite is a unique gemstone type of zoisite that belongs to the epidote mineral group, which happens to be found only at one place on Earth in Tanzania. Due to immense tectonic plate activities and extreme heat in that area, a mountain was formed 585 million years ago named as Mt. Kilimanjaro, which is the only existing deposit on Earth that makes Tanzanite 1000 times rarer than Diamonds. What makes Tanzanite so unique is its rich royal blue, violet dual colour property that will catch your eye and steal the show. It is Extremely rare because its deposits are limited to a single area, it ranks among the world’s most exclusive gemstones after rubies, emeralds, diamonds and sapphires

PRE-FORMS

Pre-forms are traditionally known as ‘Ghaat’ in Hindi which a craftsman makes from an irregular rough piece. A craftsman very carefully after a lot of focus and hard work brings out the hidden beauty, luster and colour of this rare gem. We at Fine Colour Gems use Modern diamond plated machines and focus on getting the rough pieces into the desired shapes and quality with the most accuracy possible.

CUT AND POLISH

Polishing is the last stage of the process that brings shine and makes a piece look magnificent. At Fine colour Gems, we use modern Israel techniques as well as ancient Indian Parsaan techniques to bring out most of its shine and luster. All the pieces are regularly checked at every stage to prevent any flaws in it.

In the year 1968, Tiffany & co. declared Tanzanite as the most beautiful blue gemstone discovered in the 20TH century.
